United States Navy Mare Island (transferred)

The United States closed the Mare Island Naval Shipyard in 1996. The City of Vallejo now manages all granted trust lands on and near Mare Island.

Statute Description
Chapter 43, Statutes of 1854 An Act declaring the Consent of the Legislature of the State of California to the Purchase by the United States of Signor or Mare Island; to relinquish the Title and Interest of the State in overflowed portions of said Island, and to vest the Jurisdiction over the same in the United States, for the purposes therein specified.
Chapter 81, Statutes of 1897 An Act relinquishing to the United States of America the title of this State to certain lands.
Chapter 1452, Statutes of 1963 An act relating to the conveyance of land to the United States for military, naval, or defense purposes.
