State Lands Commission announces new Assistant Executive Officer

(Sacramento), Calif. – The California State Lands Commission has named Colin Connor as its new Assistant Executive Officer. Colin replaces Dave Brown, who retired from state service on May 31, 2016.

“I am confident that Colin will be an invaluable Assistant Executive Officer,” said Jennifer Lucchesi, the Commission’s Executive Officer. “Colin has the temperament and qualifications necessary to serve the Commission, the people of California, and our staff. He possesses the perfect balance of superior management skills, technical acumen, sound policy experience, and excellent judgment.”

Colin started his career at the Commission in 2001 as a Public Land Management Specialist/Appraiser in the Land Management Division and swiftly moved up to various managerial positions, including Assistant Chief of the Land Management Division where he served with distinction for nearly eight years. For the past year Colin was the Chief of the Commission’s Administrative Services Division, where he oversaw all fiscal and administrative services, including budget development and contracting.
