CALIFORNIA STATE LANDS COMMISSION: Consider supporting state legislation that would eliminate a payment obligation from the City of Eureka to the State Controller resulting from an agreement for the State’s assistance in litigation of the tidelands boundary in the 1970s (AB 1943, Chesbro). CALIFORNIA STATE LANDS COMMISSION: Consider supporting state legislation that would repeal a legislative trust grant of three parcels to the City of Martinez (City) and enact a new grant of tide and submerged lands to the City that includes the three previously granted parcels and a fourth parcel, which is generally known as the Martinez Marina (SB 1424, Wolk).  CEQA Consideration: not a project (A & S: Statewide) (Staff: S. CALIFORNIA STATE LANDS COMMISSION: Consider supporting state legislation that would prohibit stores that have a specified amount of dollar sales or retail floor space from providing a single-use carryout bag to a customer, with certain exceptions and subject to various conditions (SB 270, Padilla, De Leon, and Lara). CALIFORNIA STATE LANDS COMMISSION: Consider supporting state legislation that would require the Natural Resources Agency to create and maintain a sea level rise planning database on its website and require various state and local entities, including the State Lands Commission, to submit information quarterly for inclusion in the database (AB 2516, Gordon).  CEQA Consideration: not a project (A & S: Statewide) (Staff: S. CALIFORNIA STATE LANDS COMMISSION: Consider sponsoring state legislation that would make clarifying and technical changes to several statutes to assist the State Lands Commission in its administration and oversight over public lands, including: 1) changing the definition of marine waters in the Public Resources Code to match the Government Code definition; 2) changing the due date for financial reports from trustees of legislatively granted public trust lands to align with auditing timeframes; 3) modifying a legislative grant to the County of Orange; and, 4) making technical changes to the Commission's authority to cede concurrent criminal jurisdiction to the United States within certain lands held by the United States (AB 2764, Assembly Natural Resources Committee).
