How to Apply for a Job with the CA State Lands Commission
If you are new to employment with the State of California, obtaining a job at the CA State Lands Commission will involve two steps: taking a civil service exam for the position of interest and participating in the Department's hiring process for the position. If you already work for the State, you may not need to take the civil service exam (check with your human resources office).
The Civil Service Examination Process
Identify the job classification in which you are interested and contact the Department (or check the web site) to determine when the next exam for that classification will be given and how to obtain the appropriate examination bulletin and application form. (Note that the standard State application form STD. 678 is available on the State Personnel Board web site.)
